A 500 KB target is useful when an upload system rejects multi-megabyte camera photos but still allows enough space for a visually clear image.

PixDeer first searches quality settings from 40 to 95 while preserving your original dimensions. If that is not enough, it reduces dimensions proportionally and checks the generated file again before marking it ready.
