Verified country presets
Start with the issuing authority, not a guessed size
Passport-photo rules vary by country and by application channel. A paper application can require a physical print while the same country's online renewal may require an original, uncropped digital photo. PixDeer labels the intended channel instead of presenting one size as universally valid.
Some authorities publish exact digital pixels; others publish a physical print size. When PixDeer shows a 300 ppi pixel equivalent, it is clearly labeled as a conversion rather than an official digital-pixel requirement.
Beginner-friendly workflow
Country first, then frame, then export
Select the preset, read the compliance warning, then zoom and drag until the head matches the published guide. If your application gives exact pixels or a KB limit, the advanced section remains available.
Background AI remains available by user choice, but official presets clearly warn when digital background replacement may cause rejection. Eligible print presets can also produce a 4 × 6 sheet after the exact JPG is generated.
