Image Metadata Viewer & Remover
Inspect location, camera, capture and creator details, then download a clean copy before you share.
Privacy you can see
Inspect first, remove with confidence
Photos can carry GPS coordinates, capture dates, camera and lens identifiers, creator names, editing software and technical profiles. PixDeer groups the fields into plain-language sections and highlights details that may be private.
Cleaning creates a new image from the visible pixels. The original file stays untouched, so you can compare or keep its metadata for your own archive.
What to look for
Metadata can reveal more than the picture
- Location: GPS latitude and longitude can point to where a photo was captured, including a home, workplace, school, or travel stop.
- Time and device details: capture dates, camera models, lenses, and software can reveal when and how an image was made.
- Creator and workflow fields: author, copyright, editing-app, XMP, or IPTC data may expose names or production details you did not intend to share.
A clean copy removes those embedded blocks, but it is still a newly encoded image. JPG and WebP can change slightly in quality or file size, and removing an ICC color profile may alter color appearance on some displays.
